Hot on the heels of his video release for “This Is War”, Toronto’s Jus Randy readies the world for the premier of his video for “Gud Mawning”. Featuring soulful crooner, Ray Robinson, the song embodies hope and optimism in a world of uncertainty.  While Jus Randy did a lyrical attack and took no prisoners on his previous release,  with “Gud Mawning” Jus Randy focuses on being thankful for the everyday gifts, living each day as though it were the last.  On this soulful track which anyone can relate to, Jus Randy speaks from the heart, and shows another side of his dynamic personality, by encouraging others to stay positive, even in the face of adversity.

A little taste of what’s to come from Sep’s Worst Nightmare video. Wonder if this is how it will be Saturday at Passion Lounge

DJ Jazzy Jeff and Ayah today released the new video for “Forgive Me Love,” a single from their highly regarded Back for More project. The video, directed by Toronto’s Slakah the Beatchild is beautifully executed with a thought provoking twist. Viewers will be left reflecting on the very real situations in this cautionary portrayal. It is a raw and honest production that drives home the timeless message that things are not always what they seem.

Rich Kidd talks about his joint on the Real Frequency’s The New North compilation.

Represent features, King Reign, Richie Sosa, Shaun Boothe and Rich on production, as well as a verse.

Peep it here:

This is the first release from our album, The New North. We gathered some of Toronto’s (and London’s in this case) finest to put together this compilation.

Flawless features Shad with production from Frank Dukes. This joint incites visions of action, James Bond type ish, or some anime type joints. So it was fitting to add some anime visuals to this song, from the classic Ninja Scroll.  Frank Dukes  had this to say about this song:

After learning I would be working with Shad, I knew I wanted to bring him into a different zone than what people were accustomed to or might expect from him thus far. I gave him a rugged, aggressive beat that he absolutely bodied, which kind of led to the title of the song.

Yeah, we all bugged when we heard him on this. Shouts to Dj Dopey for the cuts.
