Last week at the Boombox Saints show at Revival, I got the opportunity to do a quick interview with the one and only Sean P!!!! We talked about his new album “Mic Tyson” and the producers hes enlisted for it (Alchemist, Evidence, Marco Polo, Tone Mason, Beat Butcha, etc.), how his Random Axe project with Black Milk & Guilty Simpson came about, other emcees in the game he respects, some of his favourite albums of all time, and more.
Check out some highlights from his show that night after the jump, as Sean performed the Alchemist-produced “Mic Tyson” intro, classics like “Onion Head”, “P-Body”, and “Boom Bye Yeah”, and newer material like the “Snow” remix and “Let Me Tell You”.
Mediaite remembers 10 years of Bill vs. hip hop. This guy’s like Rick Ross – he’ll just keep losing until we’ve lost interest.
More hilarity from the people over @ CurrentTV, this time it’s a battle for your attention between the social networking sites. Good looks to the homie Wan Luv on putting me onto this! LOL “It’s never a girl!”, so true.
The people over at CurrentTV share their views on the social-networking phenomenon that is Twitter in this hilarious short. Although I think Twitter is an innovative idea, because of its simplicity and how it allows people to follow and interact with their favourite artists and celebrities more closely, I do have to agree that the mindless twittering (example: “Just left house… it’s mighty chilly outside”) is a bit too much sometimes. With that being said, follow us on Twitter lol! We promise if we do rant about something, it will be in a creative, tasteful and entertaining manner.
Big City Philadelphia does his own version of “How To Rob” made famous by 50 Cent, except he’s targeting hipsters. I had a few laughs out of this, especially the Mos Def line.
“That means he’s in the club and he’s hot, right. So that means when he takes his shoes off, he’s not hot no more! That’s craaaaazy!”
This shit is too funny, the cats from Ecomog do a take on Homey The Clown from In Living Color, but this time they boppin’ wack rappers like Gucci Mane, Shawty Lo, and Hurricane Chris over the head. If you want to check out real music from the fellas, head to their MySpace and download their “808s and Ecomog” project, in which they sampled every track from Kanye’s LP to create new beats.
I usually try not to perpetuate this beef shit, but this is too funny and well done. Bishop Lamont goes at The Game (Baby Girl) in this interview.
R.I.P. to Oscar Grant. This is absolutely disgusting, that cop needs to get the death penalty since he pretty much executed Oscar. Shot him in the back, what a coward.
