Haven’t seen anything as mindblowing as this in a while. Incredible concept and execution.  Props to my dude Shank for putting me on. Word is this took 6 years to complete (because of all the companies used in it). Part 2 after the jump. Applaud the homie Ian from a Different Kitchen for delivering the Vimeo link in the clutch.

New Hip Hop Anime Series: Blokhedz

Posted by musikleeinzane under Flicks, Heateration

For all the Twitter haters, it does have some value cause I found out about this new show from Harry Allen, who posted it on Twitter. So I’m passing this on to you. See it can be benificial. This is some dope hip hop anime shit, I’m not sure how “highly anticipated” it was cause no one seems to know, this must be some super underground shit (or I’m just wack) but, it was a pleasant surprise. This is episode 1.

The highly anticipated hip-hop anime, Blokhedz has finally premiered on MissionG.com

“The latest animated feature to hit the web, Blokhedz chronicles the adventures of “YoungBlak” – a aspiring rapper who users the power of hip-hop to conquer evil. Featuring hip-hop lyricist Talib Kweli as “YoungBlak,” MTV’s Wild ‘N Out star Affion Crockett as “Flash” and Bobbito Garcia “Eatho,” Blokhedz will premiere a new episode each and every month on MissionG.com with upcoming guests including Lauren London and Gary Sturgis. Check out the premiere episode below, as YoungBlak and his crew try to find away to fix the audio2 (the crew’s boombox) using only with their wits and Blak’s mysterious powers.” – URB Magazine.

Iron Man Meets Ghostface

Posted by vatkeezy under Flicks

Spotted over @ 2DB, it’s the unreleased footage of Ghostface’s cameo in Iron Man. I have still yet to the see the movie, but I’ve heard good reviews, so I’ll definitely get around to it. I can see why they cut this scene out of the movie, as it doesn’t add much value, but it’s still a shame that Ghost’s cameo was limited to only 2 sentences.

The King of Kong: A Fistful of Quarters

Posted by musikleeinzane under Flicks

Easily one of the illest documentaries I’ve ever seen. This story of two grown men living out their destinies to become the World Champion in Donkey Kong is amazing on too many levels. You won’t believe the characters at first. I initially suspected it might be a mockumentary. But make no mistake, this is not FUBAR. The 80’s Arcade Nerd is alive and well. It baffles me how serious these dudes take themselves. Billy Mitchell. Steve Wiebe. Roy Shildt aka Mr. Awesome. Besides being obsessive gamers, they all have on thing in common. They’re all oblivious to the fact that the film they’re starring in reeks of irony.
Mandatory viewing.
