For those not aware, Fat Beats has officially closed their legendary New York and Los Angeles locations due to the digital revolution. DJ Eclipse, co-founder and owner of Fat Beats, New York invited a few of Hip-Hop’s elite DJs to cut it up on the 1s and 2s including DJ Premier, Pete Rock, and Montreal’s own DJ A-Trak. In this video, we catch him paying tribute to Fat Beats.
He also goes on to tell the story of how his group “Obscure Disorder” came together with his brother Dave One and DJ Eclipse on that classic Audio Research jawn “2004“ featuring Ill Bill & Goretex (of Non Phixion), which was released through Fat Beats. Peace to Pete Rosenberg on the footage.
