Footage (courtesy of Thunderkush) of Jay Electronica performing at Dundas Square for Manifesto 2010. In all honesty, his performance could have been a lot better. The J Dilla tribute he did was dope (after the cut), but overall, he made some inappropriate jokes and didn’t manage his time well at all. Throw a few too many accapellas into the mix and you have a very mediocre showing. No hate, just gotta call it how I saw it. Black Thought and J. Period definitely did a great job though, with Thought killing it effortlessly as usual. Check them, as well as Eternia & Tona performing “A Day In The Life” together for the first time after the jump.

Check out this trailer for the upcoming BET Special which will air on October 15th. Hosted by Big Tigger, with special judges including JD of SoSoDef records, Chuck Creekmur of AllHipHop.com, Chloe Hilliard of Vibe Magazine, DJ Vlad of VladTV , Toronto’s own and Grammy nominated producer extradonaire Boi-1da and more. Who do you think is the best rapper of the 21st Century? Let us know people. Shouts to Dax for the link!
