JD Era – Th1rt3en Mixtape (TRAILER) (VIDEO)
Little preview of what you can expect from JD Era‘s latest mixtape, “Th1rt3en”, which is due out this Thursday, February 25th. Sounds like Era got a dope contribution from Don Cannon on the production tip. Shouts to SirmacTV, Era & CEO Fa$e.
Arcee + Kaewonder + Murr = Cratery 14 (OST Edition)

“I’m a sucker for a good soundtrack. The covers alone are usually worth the price of admission. Composers often take experimental liberties they would never take while working on a conventional pop record. And some of the best gems can be found on tiny little one minute transitional tracks – as in the case “Dog Eat Dog” from The Thief who came to Dinner”. And this Cratery is especially auspicious since we are joined by Murr (LAL, Da Grassroots), a distinguished space cadet whose own sonic soundscapes mirror his love for film music. To simplify things, every song is listed by movie, not composer or song title. And it’s not quite a sequel – but the bonus session is a little 25-minute extra we thought you might enjoy.
By that time, the idea of writing a track list had taken a back seat to the sedentary effects of our friend Century Sam. Hell, if someone decided to make a film about Sam, Cratery 14 would undoubtedly be the soundtrack.” - ARCEE

Ghostface Killah Dove Commercial (VIDEO)
This shit is extra classic, shouts to my dude Doug on the heads up. If you don’t know, the audio is taken from Ghostface‘s amazing audio book, “The World According To Pretty Toney“, which is essential listening material!
Laws – Hold You Down (Prod. DJ Khalil)
Chace Infinite f/ Fashawn & Curt@!n$ – 7:30 (Prod. DJ Khalil) (VIDEO)
One half of Self Scientific, Chace Infinite links up with Fashawn and Curt@!n$ to verbally destroy this joint “7:30” off the “I Would Of Killed This” mixtape he released recently, which consisted of DJ Khalil beats he had before they were given to artists like Nas, Jay-Z, etc. Props to NahRight on the linkage!
Ian Kamau – Love It Here (VIDEO)
Ian Kamau flips Elzhi’s and J. Dilla’s “Love It Here” into a little hommage to our beautiful city. Taken from his latest mixtape, “September Nine Vol. 3: Love & Other Struggles”.

After connecting with Raekwon for “Have Mercy” on the critically-acclaimed “Only Built 4 Cuban Linx 2″ album last year, it looks we’ll be hearing yet another Wu-Tang member over MoSS‘ production, as MoSS has landed 2 tracks on Inspectah Deck‘s forthcoming LP, due out March 23rd. That’s 3 members from the clan that MoSS has now worked with (remember Ghostface’s “Kilo” from the “The Pretty Toney” “Fishscale” album? Yeah, he was responsible for that too). Check out the track list after the jump. Read the rest of this entry »
Ali Vegas – Who Want It (Prod. Blunt)

Spotted at HHC, Ali Vegas connects with Vancouver producer Blunt for a short-but-sweet collabo. It’s a shame Ali’s career hasn’t really panned out because he had some joints back in the day (“Queens Anthem”, “It’s Like That”, “Theme Of New York”, etc.)
