Drake

It’s funny, just 2 weeks ago, my man Sean Deez and I had a chance to interview Phonte and Nicolay of The Foreign Exchange, and at the end of the interview I asked Phonte what Canadian music he had been exposed to. Ofcourse, rightfully so the first name to come out of his mouth was Drake, since they had collaborated on “Don’t You Have A Man” previously. Phonte then went on to divulge that he had recorded a joint w/ Drake & Elzhi, at which point I had to pick up my  jaw off the floor.

A week later, thanks to Heinz over at RappersIKnow, we now have actual joint, which was a leftover from Drake’s 2007 mixtape “Comeback Season”.

My homegirl Celine, 1/2 of Plato Putas, a blog dedicated to food and the joys of eating recently had a chance to catch up with the duo known as The Clipse and talk about cooking in the more traditional sense, which apparently they don’t know much about.
Virginia hip-hop duo The Clipse breakdown the unhealthy goodies they eat while touring and living on the road. It seems pizza, hamburgers and chicken wings are all you need when you’re out there grindin’. Plus Malice and Pusha T reveal to Plato Putas that strapping on an apron to impress the ladies is highly overrated. According to these two, all you need is a ride to the nearest Hibachi restaurant and an unlimited number of Mai Tai cocktails. Food may be the way to a woman’s heart, but when you’re “Kinda Like A Big Deal”, clearly you have other ways to get there. The Clipse’s next album, Till The Casket Drops, is set for release in September.” – Celine

D-Sisive drops another video from his latest album “Let The Children Die”. Most of you probably remember him as the witty, punchline-oriented emcee from back in the day… but he’s been through a lot personally in the past few years and if you listen to the album, you’ll notice his subject matter is a little more serious.

Possibly the hardest joint out right now gets a video that is just as grimey! “Til’ The Casket Drops” is scheduled to drop in September.
