Lidget Green Position f/ Craig G – Sick Day (VIDEO)
Pretty sure anyone can relate to this at one point or another. Sick day is exactly what I’ll be taking tomorrow thanks to this god damn flu.
DJ J-Ronin & DJ Snips – All Elements Vol. 10

Now this is a real mixtape! DJ J-Ronin & DJ Snips present the latest volume of their “All Elements” series, which might be one of the best yet. Plenty of exclusives and several world premiere joints from the Skyzoo, Planet Asia, Keelay and Zaire, Slaughterhouse, Ali Vegas, Guilty Simpson, Redman, Oh No, Fresh Daily, Mickey Factz, Donny Goines, and more! And oh yeah, there is actually mixing. Even scratching! What a concept! Track list and link after the jump.
Unlocking The Vault: New York’s Finest Remixes

Some remixes that never saw the light of day except on bootleg vinyl. My fave is the RZA remix of “Keep It Thoro”.
EcomogTV Presents Homey D Rap Clown (VIDEO)
“That means he’s in the club and he’s hot, right. So that means when he takes his shoes off, he’s not hot no more! That’s craaaaazy!”
This shit is too funny, the cats from Ecomog do a take on Homey The Clown from In Living Color, but this time they boppin’ wack rappers like Gucci Mane, Shawty Lo, and Hurricane Chris over the head. If you want to check out real music from the fellas, head to their MySpace and download their “808s and Ecomog” project, in which they sampled every track from Kanye’s LP to create new beats.
Unlocking The Vault: Tha Eastsidaz – Gang Bang Muzic

I haven’t done one of these in a while and had to dig deep in the archives to pull somethin’ out. We’ll here it is, or what would have been Tha Eastsidaz’ 3rd album “Gang Bang Muzic”, which never came out I believe because of beef between them and Snoop. Kind of a shame considering guest appearances from Truth Hurts, Redman, Snoop Dogg, MC Ren, Nate Dogg, Butch Cassidy, Daz, Kokane, and more, as well as production from Battlecat & Fred Wreck! Standout joints include “Feel Alright”, “Succed Up”, “Bottom Girl”, “Friday Night”, and “Doin’ It For Life”! Track list and link after the jump.
Rich Kidd – House Arrest

If you’re feenin’ for more Rich Kidd material like me, definitely check out this mixtape which contains some of his work prior to “We On Some Rich Kidd Vol. 2″. The homie has some serious heat in the chamber and I personally can’t wait to have him on the next “New North”. Standout joints include “Saturday”, “Message To My Cousin”, “I Got A Story”, “That’s The Way Shit Goes” (love the flip!), and “Forever”. He even thugged out Seal on “Cry About It”. Track list and link after the jump.
What’s Beef?
I usually try not to perpetuate this beef shit, but this is too funny and well done. Bishop Lamont goes at The Game (Baby Girl) in this interview.
Shaun Boothe – Unauthorized Biography of Obama/MLK
Shaun Boothe pays homage to two more legends, Martin Luther King Jr. and Barrack Obama, in the 4th installment of his biography series. Great work as usual, much props to Shaun Boothe for continuing to make creative and inspirational music. Look for him to join us on the New North real soon.
Exile – Radio (Video)
DJ/Producer Exile dropped his instrumental album “Radio” this past Tuesday. I’m about to cop that on iTunes,
I’m feeling the few joints I’ve heard so far. He talks about the concept behind the album, all sounds on the album are from the radio.
