If you haven’t seen the HBO series The Wire yet, stop reading now get out from under the rock you’ve been living under and go get it. For those in the know, it is heralded as one of the best show’s ever to hit TV. We have to agree. We talk about some of the characters, ideas, and morals of the show with Agile, and our man Marco Polo pays a surprise visit.

  1. kirk Said,

Season 1 – the set off! 100% fiyah. You couldn’t just watch 1 episode and be like “la la la”. You had to watch 4 or 5 episodes in a row, truss.
Season 2 – the weakest of the 5 but served a purpose. A lot of introductions to new characters (or better understanding).
Season 3 – probably the strongest to the vast population
Season 4 – my personal fav! I work with kids & to see their trials thru their eyes was dope.
    so dope!
Season 5 – Omar is dead & Marlo still ain’t “street”. Kinda nuts. But still loved how the producers incorporated the newspapers (media).

Best show ever, hands down. And the end of the day, it’s all connected.

  2. A Man Called Illa Said,

The Wire was/is the greatest show ever!!!

My boy let me borrow Season 1. I watched it in 2 days and was asking for a re-up with the quickness. Niggas was fiendin’ for the rest of the seasons.

    Good shit fellas.

  3. vatkeezy Said,

Season 2 may be slow but there are a lot of jewels in it in terms of understanding how the drugs come into the city and why sometimes the honest working class also has to cut some corners in order to get by. It also starts to illustrate the difference between Stringer and Avon in terms of how they see the game and sets up Stringer’s demise.

Haha asking for a re-up, man I remember when Season 5 episodes were leaking, I had my hand on the refresh button and was going through message boards like a maniac trying to find that good product.
