The Cincinnati Bengals receiver has legally changed his name to Chad Javon Ocho Cinco in Broward County, Fla., a switch that became official this week. Johnson, who lives in Miami, didn’t return a message left on his cell phone Friday night. 

“It’s something I don’t think anyone has ever done before,” he told the team’s Web site. “Have I ever had a reason for why I do what I do? I’m having fun.” Source.

You gotta love Chad Jeezy, he’s just too much.  I’m seriously thinking about buying an “Ocho Cinco” jersey now.

This just goes to show that most people just want the latest toy to be fashionably cool, regardless if they actually have  a need for it and without any idea of how to get the most out of it.  Maybe it’s just me, but if I spend $300 on a phone and more than $100/month on the plan that comes with it, I would be using every last drop of bandwidth I’m paying for. Spotted over @ Street Knowledge, I couldn’t help but notice some pretty outlandish comments from Young Jeezy in regards to Michael Phelps.

“Phelps typically listened to the Jeezy/R. Kelly collaboration “Go Getta” before hitting the pool, which Jeezy himself doesn’t find surprising.”

Jeezy’s response: “I’m a big fan of Michael Phelps! He’s a great success. I like what he’s doing. He’s like the Young Jeezy of the swim world. I love it!”

K-Ci already responded and I find his explanation a little ridiculous. If he was epileptic, why did you pick him up like a rag doll and get him to wave at the end of the show? “We don’t believe you, you need more people!” Top top it off, he ended the response with this line, in regards to his disdain for the Internet and bloggers: ““I hate Bill Gates for inventing the computer of whatever it is, I don’t even know.” You certainly convinced us with that capper there, K-Ci.- (Man Like)Keezy

Displays Of Pure Excellence

Even if you’re not a Soccer fan, you gotta appreciate placement like that… Ruben De La Red from my favourite squad swag splashes the Valencia defender and goalie. Cheeky… I think the announcer would co-sign me on that.

This kid doesn’t score that often from the stats I saw, but when he does (LOL at Van Nistelrooy hitting his head on the bench in awe), he definitely gets his style points.
