J Live – Be No Slave

Posted by musikleeinzane under Heateration

I think I’m becoming an internet junkie, I’m all over these blogs with new music, old music, music music, so much stuff out there it’s ridiculous. In my roaming I came across this J Live heat so I thought I’d spread this bit of dopness. I’m listening to the snippets for J’s new album “Then What Happened” it’s sounding pretty tight.

I love the the subject matter in “Be No Slave”, it’s rare for me to listen to lyrics nowadays, so much of the same crap, most MC’s start sounding like the adults in Charlie Brown cartoons, whaw, whaw, whaw… J delivers it in a simple straight forward manner, I appreciate that, you don’t need to be over everyones head to show how smart you are. Part of being intelligent is being able to communicate your message to a wide audience.

On that note here’s the J Live and another joint that stood out from Katalyst Ft. Spacek. Don’t usually put stuff for download but what the heck if you don’t get it here you’ll get it somewhere else. Jacked these from hiphopisread.blogspot.com wicked blog!

Tavis Smiley with Jay-Z and Mary J

Dope interview with Tavis Smiley. Love what Mary says about uplifting people. In their positions they have so much influence, but rather than preach they let their actions do the talking.

Whole Wheat Brother$ Music proudly presents, “DESTINY”the anticipated new single from Grimace Love. This release is the third official single off of Grimace Love‘s upcoming album entitled, “PERCEPTION”. Topped with Grimace Love‘s powerful conscious lyrics, soothing mellow delivery and clever soulful hook, ‘DESTINY’ is definitely ear candy as well as brain food.

Kareem, Magic, and Byron Scott killed it. Michael Cooper and A.C. Green did their thing. Also, I see where Eminem got his style from… Kurt Rambis. Oh and Pat Riley rapping, classic. Whats up with all the glasses though fellas? That’s just jetlag… right…
