The first single from Empire aka The Fifth Letter Fam’s debut album “Get It”, which I believe will be available in August. In addition to Big Sproxx, look from production Tone Mason and Rich Kidd! If you’re not familiar with the fellas yet, check out the little freestyle that Adam Bomb and T.R.A. (The Rhyme Animal) blessed us with two weeks ago and be sure to peep the sampler.

Official Video for “Best I Ever Had”. At least these girls look of age, unlike the BET Awards. Ya’ll can love or hate below.

Oh I forgot to mention, it was directed by Kanye West.

Here’s a nice little recap of the 2009 One Stop Shop Producers Conference, a yearly event organized by Sha Money XL, which gathers some of the most prominent producers, artists, label reps, and video directors in the game to give insight to their up-and-coming counterparts on how to succeed in the music industry. Pete Rock, Just Blaze, Jake One, 9th Wonder, RZA, Hi-Tek, Q-Tip, Black Milk, Nipsey Hussle, Dru Ha, and John Columbo are just some of the names that participated this year. Watch, as they talk about new opportunities in the industry, the autotune fad (and the difference between using a vocoder and autotune), and judge a beat battle.

Marco Polo & Torae kick it with DJ Premier on his radio show, as they discuss the “Double Barrel” album, and Primo goes in on a few joints from the album. LOL at one of the callers saying Marco’s “Port Authority” cover made him look like Pitbull, although there is a small resemblence in their respective covers. If you don’t have the album yet, change that!

Revival EP

Before he gets set to drop his long-awaited collaboration LP with DJ Premier, “Street Hop”, and the Slaughterhouse album, Royce will first be releasing a digital four-song EP entitled “The Revival”. “The Revival” EP (not to be confused with a bootleg of unfinished songs that leaked last year) will be released on 7-7-2009 and it will include new tracks from Royce’s “Street Hop” LP along with a new Slaughterhouse track and will be available at all major digital retailers. Here is the first leak from the EP thanks to the homie Matt!
